When the live Sonic movie was announced, fans of the Blue Blur immediately felt unconfident with Hollywood’s portrayal. Hollywood is known for its AWFUL video game adapted movie so choosing an anthropomorphic animal was asking for bigger failures. A leak caused by HAMAGAMI/CARROLL INC, a marketing agency, showcased many promotional photos for the movie that have now been removed.
The creator of Sonic, Yuji Naka, thought the character looked off and that Sonic’s body didn’t look balanced. It’s unfortunate seeing your creation turned into some weird monster but Sonic fans are very familiar with the fanart/Rule 34.
The movie comes out on November 8th, 2019.
