Capcom Home Arcade announced for Europe

Capcom’s new challenger tweet was teasing the Capcom Home Arcade, a classic game system similar to the Nintendo Classic. It’s an arcade system that contains 16 classic Capcom Arcade games for two players. The price is €229.99 (approx $260) which is quite pricey for an emulator machine. The high cost is due to the quality parts provided and an emulator.

For $260 you will get high-quality Sanwa parts which are extremely popular for high-quality Arcade sticks. The emulator is the FB Alpha Emulator which is a high-quality Arcade Emulator for consoles.

The design is quite obnoxious. It’s a huge Capcom logo that measures roughly 29 inches wide, 8.5 inches deep, by 4.25 inches tall. The Home Arcade has a built-in Wi-Fi to connect to a leaderboard which will allow you to show off your high scores similar to the old school days. Similar to other classic consoles, it’s power is via a micro USB and HDMI. However, the Capcom Home Arcade is meant to be played on a table to lay the arcade stick or on your lap.

The Capcom Home Arcade will have 16 games:Image result for capcom home arcade

  1. 1944: The Loop Master
  2. Alien vs. Predator
  3. Armored Warriors
  4. Capcom Sports Club
  5. Captain Commando
  6. Cyberbots: Full Metal Madness
  7. Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors
  8. Eco Fighters
  9. Final Fight
  10. Ghouls ‘n Ghosts
  11. Gigawing
  12. Mega Man: The Power Battle
  13. Progear
  14. Street Fighter 2: Hyper Fighting
  15. Strider
  16. Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo

Unfortunately, the Marvel vs Capcom titles aren’t available most likely due to licensing issues. Strangely, Street Fighter 2: Super Turbo isn’t available. That version of SF 2 is generally considered the popular version for tournaments. I believe it may be due to Capcom re-releasing the title for modern consoles. The Capcom Home Arcade can be pre-ordered in Europe for October 25th. There is no confirmation as of this article on whether the system will release in the US or other regions.

Apex Legends Player Progress restored after Update 1.1

Yesterday, players were shocked to see their experience progress for Apex Legends were deleted. The 1.1 update had accidentally removed all player progress. Respawn Entertainment shut down the servers overnight to restore everyone’s progress. The update had accidentally moved players to a different server without moving their progress over.

“Once we confirmed internally that we had fixed the issue we started rolling out the right servers starting with Xbox and staggered the updates to PS4 and PC,” the developer explained on the Apex Legends subreddit.

Your progress should be updated the next time you log in. All player progress and purchases you made in 1.1 will be reverted. Refunds will be applied if you have purchased anything.

Borderlands 3 Trailer & More!

Gearbox just showcased Borderlands 3 at Pax East. While most of the announcements were just people talking about how excited they were to work on the game, the trailer showed a bunch of stuff.

As usual, there are 4 Vault Hunters you can play as in the game. While their names weren’t specified, you can see some of their abilities showcased.

  • There’s a buff female Hunter who has the markings of a Siren and can apparently spawn six massive arms. We see her briefly summoning a giant arm later in the trailer and holding an enemy in a containment bubble.
  • A younger female Hunter appears standing in front of a mech that she can apparently summon. Other players can apparently co-pilot.
  • An older male Hunter apparently uses a gadget that will let him create a holographic version of himself. He may be a character from Tales of the Borderlands
  • An android Beastmaster appears to fight alongside a variety of pets, including a Skag and Spiderant.

Some characters from their previous Borderlands titles will be returning. Brick, Lilith, Mordecai, (Borderlands) Maya, Ellie, Marcus, Tiny Tina (Borderlands 2), Rhys (Tales of the Borderlands) and other returning characters all make cameos.

The two antagonists may be called Troy and Tyreen according to GamesRadar. They could both be Sirens based on their tattoos and eye colours. This may not be true because Sirens have all be females according to the game lore.

The game’s announce date hasn’t been shown but Gearbox has stated they will release more information on April 3rd, the same day Borderlands Remastered is set to release.

I am excited for Borderlands 3. It’s one of my favorite co-operative shooters to play due to its colors, fun environment, and crazy gun types.
