Final Fantasy VII Remasted will release on March 3rd, 2020 for the PlayStation 4. So far, there are no announcements on whether the game will release on any other systems. One day before my birthday.
No Tifa but there are few additional scenes from the previous trailer showcasing Shinra and Barret’s team.
The announcement of Final Fantasy 7 was released several years ago but it looks like development has finalized. Much of the gameplay has changed from the PlayStation One version. Rather than a turn-based system, you move the players more freely and initiate attacks on button commands. No gameplay demo has been shown at E3 at the time of this article.
Back in 2015, Square Enix had stated that the remake of Final Fantasy VII would be released episodically. However, Square had been relatively silent despite multiple teasers being released until last night. Square is reconfirming that Final Fantasy VII Remake will be released episodically. This may lead to each episode being each disc for the PlayStation One release. That would mean three episodes.
Stated at the very end of that game will indeed still be split into parts (分作) for those who were still doubting (not that I think many were).

It’s pretty disappointing to hear the game is being released as episodes because the game has been under development for so long. This may be the case if Tetsuya Nomura and Square Enix have been consistently changing the game’s direction similar to Final Fantasy XV. The trailer shown at the PlayStation State of Play only showed the beginning of Final Fantasy VII which may be an indication that they only finished the 1/3 of the story.
Final Fantasy VII finally has a new trailer showing gameplay, the voice acting for Cloud, Barret, and Aerith. It isn’t much as this is the first 25 minutes of the game in general. More announcements will be held in June.
Square-Enix didn’t show anything that wasn’t already well -known. Except for Babylon Falls which is a new Platinum X SE game and The Quiet Man. 7/10
Shadow of the Tomb Raider(September 14, 2018)
An emphasis on stealth-based combat
Apparently, Lara Croft isn’t the tomb raider yet but she seems ruthless. Especially the stinger shot as Sephiroth
Final Fantasy XIV:
New patch and expansion
Monster Hunter Events! Monsters, the cat mascot, and even emotes are included
Babylon’s Falls:
New IP from Square and Platinum after Nier Automata
No date announced but it looks SICK!
Look at this video game!
The Awesome Adventure of Captain Spirit (June 26, 2018):
A new title in the Life is Strange series
Free for all consoles!
Dragon Quest XI:
No gameplay was shown but it looks like a classic JRPG and story. If you want a classic RPG, DQ has always been an exceptional game.
The Quiet Man:
Actually confusing. It didn’t reveal anything but it looks like a new IP based on noise and combat
Nier Automata, Octopath Traveler, and Kingdom Hearts 3 were all the same trailers that were shown before. No FF 7because Square-Enix didn’t want to shoot themselves in the foot but showing anything and not having a release date. Perhaps they learned that promising a game with no official release date is ridiculous and annoys their fanbase. Examples: Final Fantasy Versus 13 15, Kingdom Hearts 3.
