Spider-Man PS4 adds Fantastic Suits

Insomniac teased a “fantastic” update regarding their Spider-Man title. Fans predicted new Spider-Man suits in relation to the Fantastic Four. Two new suits have been added. The Bombastic Bag-Man and the Future Foundation Spider-Man suit. Both are suits worn by Peter Parker when he was involved with the team. The suits are free!

The Bombastic Bag-Man appeared when Peter needed help removing the Symbiote suit. He asked Reed Richards for help and while he looked for a replacement, Johnny Storm gave him a Fantastic Four suit with a bag to hide his identity.

The Future Foundation suit was for Peter when he joined the Future Foundation after the passing of Johnny Storm.

Metroid Prime 4 Delayed; Development Restarted

Many fans have been waiting for a new Metroid game for the main console. Unfortunately, Nintendo will “re-examine the development structure itself and change it.” Announced by Shinya Takahashi, Nintendo’s Senior Managing Executive Office, the game was not meeting Nintendo‘s standard.

A good part of the video stated Kento Tanabe, the Metroid Prime Producer, will be working with Retro Studios who made the original Metroid Prime trilogy. Check out the announcement below.

How to improve at Fortnite: Have a better computer

There’s a current bug in patch 7.20 in Fortnite. If you’re playing on a Nintendo Switch or a weak PC, your frames rate are usually 30. This is actually worse for players as a lower frame rate means your maximum fire rate will be lower.

Reddit user 0x011A tested how fast certain guns fired on different frame rates. If you notice below, it takes longer to empty an entire clip when playing with lower frame rate.

No fire rate buffs

30 FPS: 3.942 seconds (Actual fire rate = 15.22)
60 FPS: 3.95 seconds (Actual fire rate = 15.19)
120 FPS: 3.45 seconds (Actual fire rate = 17.39)

With War Cry (18 fire rate –> 23.4)

30 FPS: 3.942 seconds (Actual fire rate = 15.22)
60 FPS: 2.967 seconds (Actual fire rate = 20.222)
120 FPS: 2.93 seconds (Actual fire rate = 20.478)

Eurogamer also tested it against metal gates and noticed its 1.44 seconds difference between 30 FPS and 60 FPS. Although it may not seem long, the time can be the difference between life and death. Higher frame rate such as 120 or 300 makes little difference.

How to play Anthem early

Anthem is EA Bioware’s new first-person RPG shooter title. It’ll launch on February 22nd, 2019 and everyone is curious to see if Bioware still has the skills to make excellent RPG’s similar to their old titles like Knights of the Old Republic and Mass Effect. To participate in the demo or play early, there are several different dates.

Anthem VIP Demo

Dates: Jan. 25-27

Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One

Requirements: pre-order, or EA Access or Origin Access subscription

The demo hasn’t been clarified what it will include. EA Access and Origin access cost $4.99 per month.

Anthem Open Demo

Dates: Feb. 1-3

Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One

Requirements: none

It is only available for 3 days

Anthem Early Full Access

Release date: Feb. 15

Platforms: PC

Requirements: Origin Access Premier subscription

This is only for PC players but you’ll have full access a week before everyone else. Premier is $14.99

Anthem 10 hour Full Access

Release date: Feb. 15

Platforms: PC, Xbox One

Requirements: EA Access or Origin Access Basic subscription

Xbone and PC players will have access for 10 hours if they have EA or Origin Access Basic.
