How to play Anthem early

Anthem is EA Bioware’s new first-person RPG shooter title. It’ll launch on February 22nd, 2019 and everyone is curious to see if Bioware still has the skills to make excellent RPG’s similar to their old titles like Knights of the Old Republic and Mass Effect. To participate in the demo or play early, there are several different dates.

Anthem VIP Demo

Requirements: pre-order, or EA Access or Origin Access subscription

The demo hasn’t been clarified what it will include. EA Access and Origin access cost $4.99 per month.

Anthem Early Full Access

Release date: Feb. 15

Xbone and PC players will have access for 10 hours if they have EA or Origin Access Basic.

Yakuza Kiwami launches for PC on Feb

Feel the HEAT! Yakuza Kiwami is releasing on Steam on February 19th. This continues the trend of SEGA porting their titles to the PC. The port was announced during E3 2018 alongside Yakuza 0 and Valkyria Chronicles 4. Catherine “Classic” (the original released on PS3 and Xbox 360) was released on Steam earlier in January. SEGA usually doesn’t release other titles besides Sonic to PC. These may be signs of the company changing their release methods to consoles and PC rather than consoles exclusively.

Persona 5 News

Atlus Japan has registered several new websites as reported by Persona Central. They were registered by Ryu Office, a marketing company that has close ties with Atlus. They registered the sites dedicated to Persona 3 Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5 Dancing in Starlight. Below are the following domains.

  • Persona5M.JP
  • P5M.JP
  • P5B.JP
  • Persona5B.JP

Most likely they are spin-off titles for the Persona 5 series. Persona 4 had two fighting game spin-offs, a dancing game, two animes, and an updated version for the title which released exclusively on the PlayStation Vita. Rumors believe that Persona 5 or it’s updated version will release on the Nintendo Switch following the announcement of Joker from Persona 5 in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as DLC. I will report on it if it’s confirmed.

There was an announcement for a Persona 5 anime special: Dark Sun. It will expand on the conclusion of the anime that aired in 2018.

If you’ve been playing games all years, it’s fun to see what you sunk your time in. As 2018 comes to a close, Xbox and PlayStation are offering users the ability to see all the stats attached to their consoles accounts. This includes most time played, how many achievements/trophies you earned, and your favorite games. PlayStation’s focuses on the past 5 years in regards to the PS4’s lifecycle while Xbox is just 2018.
